The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was started in the year 2001. Since from its birth, the department is playing its role in producing skilled Electrical Engineers. The Department posses a team of eminent and experienced faculty including Professors at doctorate level and Assistant Professors.

All the students are encouraged and guided by faculty to carry out more than curriculum based experiments, certain innovative research oriented projects. All the laboratories are fully equipped with latest sophisticated machines and equipments.

Some of the major equipments which are available in various laboratories are different types of DC Machines, AC Machines, Transformers, Bridges, Choppers, Invertors, CROs, Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, Resistors, Inductors and Capacitors boxes etc., besides 30 numbers of Pentium IV systems for Power System Simulation Laboratory.

The department student association GUSTO is conducting various seminars and workshops in order to improve the skill set of the students.
