The department of Information Technology was started in the year 2002. From its birth, the department is playing its role in producing skilled information technologists. The Department has eminent and experienced faculty team including Professors and Assitant Professors.

Its students association is a joint association with the students of Computer Science and Engineering, ( ACSIT). It is conducting various seminars and workshops in order to improve the skill set of the students.
